Yesterday, I had the chance to go to an Apple store and try out a nano. In my mind, it is the ideal iPod. It's the perfect size. It seems to just fit into your hand and not be too thin or unusually long for it's thinness. The click wheel seems to respond better on the nano than on the mini or the regular iPod. And it's great. The screen looks great. The whole layout is amazing.
I instantly wanted one. It was one of those moments where I wished I had disposable income. Or any income at all, for that matter, being a poor college student. I began to figure out the ways that I could possibly receive a nano.
Could I possibly get one as a Xmas gift? Maybe. But it would take some begging and some work on my part. Could I maybe buy one when my rebate comes back from the mini? Yes, but I want a 4 GB nano, not the 2 GB. What if I were to wait until I have a job and my 10 GB 3G iPod finally dies? Well, I'd like to still have my iPod while also having the nano since it would be nice sometimes to have more music than just 4 GB worth.
Let's just say that it was a long thought. There's more to it than what I've put here.
I really wish I could have a nano. They're great. I really wish I would win the TUAW nano contest, but I doubt I will. Maybe there'll be a free-iPod-nano.com from Gratis that'll be worth using. No matter what I do, I'll find a way to get a nano.
Cause I want one really bad.
