Now that I'm done with work...

I can focus all of my frustration on school. Wonderful.

I'm going to focus my frustration towards my English class now. I know it's a freshman class, but that doesn't mean I'm a dumbass like the teacher apparently thinks we all are. Of course, that's probably just my inflated ego talking.

But back to my frustration.

I know how what makes a good argument. I know all the different fallacies. I was hoping that he would understand that I'm not all that dumb when I can come in, analyze some random article on the spot that I was supposed to read before class, and point out the fact that there was an ad hominem fallacy. I don't think many kids in the class know the fallacies. And it's from this where my frustration originates.

I have a paper to write. No problem, I'm cool with that. My problem is that he wants us to analyze each and every quote and argument that we're using in our paper. Fucking shit, I know what makes a good argument. I wouldn't have chosen the quotes that I did if I didn't think they were good arguments in favor of my paper. I don't need to analyze them. I'm seriously considering not even doing it for tomorrow since I don't give a fuck. I'm writing a really good paper, and I'm not going to ruin the flow of the paper by having to devote multiple paragraphs for his stupid request of analyzing each argument.

Like I said, it's a freshman course and they want to make sure we know what we're doing. But what I'm currently seeing is that they'll go over all of this every single time you have to right a research paper. And I don't think that knowing how to write a research paper and analyze some arguments are going to help me in the real world anyway. It's like fucking high school in this class: the vast majority of the shit isn't even necessary and if you're in college, you should know what the hell you're doing already in this class. At least I hope that people would be able to understand this.

But seeing some of the fucking morons at DePaul, I don't even know why I assume that.
