Warped Tour Milwaukee 2005

Ah, yes, Warped Tour Milwaukee was yesterday. I survived with just a bad sunburn and farmer's tan, but oh well. It was well worth it. Ashley, Diane, and I started out the day by getting our tickets and guest passes, which we weren't expecting this year. Good deal. We got into the venue and headed straight to get the times for the day. After that, we decided to check out the merch tents. Everything was $15 this year except for MxPx merch, which was $12. After this, we headed to the main stage to see Senses Fail.

After Senses Fail, the three of us headed to the Cingular tent where MxPx was doing a signing. While waiting in line, someone from Underoath was walking by so we got his signature. Then we got autographs from MxPx.

After MxPx, we went to see the Plain White T's, whom I've seen too many times to even be entertained anymore. After the Tees were the All-American Rejects. I had been looking forward to seeing them and they blew me away. I was totally happy with their set. So happy, that I bought a rad shirt.

After the Rejects, it was time for MxPx. Again, another great band that I was happy to see.

After MxPx, it was time to see the Transplants. Before they went on, though, we got backstage for a quick time before we were booted and were mere feet away from Travis Barker, Tim Armstrong, and Skinhead Rob. Good times.

After the Transplants, we went to see the Offspring. I had never seen them and it was nice to see them here. I caught a few minutes of video while they played.

After the Offspring, the three of us went to get someone so we could get backstage and then up onto the stage. We stood up on stage while The Starting Line played their set. For two years in a row, I have been on stage for a band at Warped Tour. It's a great feeling that I can say I've had and it's fucking amazing.

After The Starting Line, we decided to sit backstage and wait for My Chemical Romance to begin. Before they played, we saw Gerard from My Chemical Romance and got his autograph. He's one of the nicest band members I've ever met. He asked for our names and signed it to us. It was awesome.

When it came time for My Chemical Romance to play, we stood on the side of the stage backstage to watch. I got some more video while watching them and then saw Buddy from Senses Fail on a fucking motorcycle. There's no way you could pass up this photo opportunity.

After all was said and done, we stood backstage for a bit longer. Diane saw that Tim Armstrong from Rancid and the Transplants was standing there with some people. Ashley and I went over to have him sign some things and we got a picture with him. It was so awesome to meet one of my idols. He is also one of the nicest people I've ever met. That makes two nice people in one day. Awesome.

And that was our day. It was great. I couldn't have had a better time. And to just show that we were some of the last people out of the venue, here's a picture of all the garbage on the ground.
