Hey, guys, it's not often that I do this...

I've been a part of
MacHeist for a while. Pretty much since the beginning. We've finally reached the end of the 5 week period and we're in the bundle sale now...

The bundle is 49 dollars and it's got some great programs. The programs consist of the following:

Delicious Library
Fotomagico
Shapeshifter
DEVONThink
Disco
Rapidweaver
iClip 4
One of four Pangea software games...
NewsFire - although we need to get to 50k donated to charity to get a license
TextMate - and like NewsFire, we need to get to 100k donated to charity in order to unlock it.

But it's well worth the 49 dollars that you'll pay. Plus, 25% of the price you pay goes to charity, so that's even better.

The more money that goes to charity, the better. Everyone should buy this bundle. You get a great deal on the programs. It's over 200 dollars in shareware apps for 50 bucks. Pretty good, I'd say.

So please, go check it out, and if you've got the cash and a Mac, buy the bundle.

Oh god...

I've fallen in love with Safari. Damn me, damn me, damn me...
So there's this nifty little program that I got through MacHeist...

1passwd. It's Keychain on Steroids. That is, if you use a Mac and know what Keychain is...

Simply amazing. I love it.

Jesus Christ, that's a pretty face
The kind you'd find on someone that could save
If they don't put me away
Well, it'll be a miracle

Do you believe you're missing out
That everything good is happening somewhere else?
But with nobody in your bed
The night's hard to get through

And I will die all alone
And when I arrive I won't know anyone

Again, I disappear for a month...

That's what usually happens I guess. But at least I come back and let you all know I'm still alive.

Well, at least the one reader that I have. Or don't have. I know no one reads this shit.

As messed up as the story is...

The accident in NYC is strange. My first thought when I heard of the
accident was that something had gone wrong again, and it's entirely
odd to be watching the report on CNN in tall building. It makes you
nervous and uneasy. It makes you wonder how likely something like
this could happen. And then you look out of the windows on the top
floor and see how close you are to the Sears Tower. You realize that
if someone were to do something like 9/11 again but this time in
Chicago, I would be close enough I could feel the flames. I would be
running away as fast as possible. I would be scared beyond belief.
It freaked me out today and it'll probably be something in the back of
my mind for a long time.

And it's even more nuts that it was a Yankee's pitcher. How odd is it
that he's from that team, the team that was in the news for the past
week over their decision on their manager? It's so strange...

And now onto something entirely different. The CTA is closing the
Washington Red line station tonight at midnight. They're also closing
the transfer tunnel between Washington Blue line and the Red line
station. As much as this will suck for me sometimes, I'm more worried
about the homeless that use that tunnel as a home. I know of one man
that I always give money to because I've seen him every day for so
long. Where will he go now? Will I ever see him again? I hope he
stays safe...

I hate the new DePaul wireless network...

They got rid of the old network that worked off of WEP numbers, but now I can't even access it anymore. What bullshit. Now I need to log in through some crappy page and deal with some Java security the school uses, which I don't trust all that much...

Plus the wireless network requires that I use Safari. The Java applet won't work in any other web browser, not even Firefox. What fucking bullshit.

I've decided this...

Google needs to incorporate their Reader web app into Gmail. It would make my life a whole lot easier if I were to check my e-mail and read my RSS feeds all at the same time. Granted, Reader is a bit bulky and unusable, but if they incorporate the right concept in, it'll be fucking amazing. Just amazing.

I really need more memory for my iBook.

I'm thinking that I'm going to make a trip out to Woodstock one weekend to visit the guys at Other World Computing. I want to upgrade to a full gig of memory and they've got the cheapest prices that I can find and on top of that, I'm close enough that I'd drive for it.
